Hello, I have a WLC2504 that has both its Primary and Backup images wiped, as a result, the controller can only get into the bootloader and no further. This is a borrowed controller and I don't have a service contract with Cisco so I cannot get in touch with TAC. From what I've read on forums, it appears I need a RTOS file as well as an FP file? I'm relatively new to Cisco so don't know many things. However, I was not the one that decided to wipe the primary and backup images. I've read that a copy of another controller's compact flash will do the trick (copy over to this controllers flash) but unfortunately, I don't have another controller handy.
Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you all for your suggestions. Glorious Morris/Ferdinand - I would very much like to ask nicely, but I get paywalled at the first point. I call, I'm asked - what is your service contract info etc. Gunz server and client files download. To which I have none and then I get a 'we're sorry, you will need to provide that info before I can direct your call'. Essentially a 'do not pass GO, do not collect $200, go directly to Jail' =D. I'm fairly new to Cisco products and this was us trying to see if it would be suitable, so I have no account either.
Smartcut pro crack. The vendor who I borrowed this from is not-so-subtle hinting that I've broken the unit now so we will have to buy it so he is not too inclined to be helpful. @Ferdinand since it appears you are from Cisco, could I ask you this question?
Below is the output from the WLC console when I power it on right now, could you confirm that what I need is an RTOS/FP file which is *NOT* the same as the.aes file that I can download from Cisco's website? One unrelated question - the model number as listed below is AIR-CT2504-K9. I see generally there should be a number between '2504' and 'K9' to indicate the number of licenses the WLC has.
When it doesn't have a number, does that mean this unit does not come with any license? Without a source image to restore from and without a RTOS file to use I thought I'd try an undelete in hopes getting the image back. I found a large number of files but they were not in a single '.img' file. I tried to copy them over to the 660MB partition's root but as expected, I still received the same bootloader screen. I've tried calling and emailing Cisco but they are unwilling to provide any assistance and will not even allow the purchase of a Service contract from them (I must buy it from the original vendor). I'd be happy with any info that people might be able to provide e.g.
