OK, here's what I did with HFXPro 5.1 to get it to work in Premiere Pro. I copied the HfxEdt5.vfx file from the 'host plugins' folder from HFX (Edition) to the plugin folder of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Renamed the HfxEdt5.vfx file to HfxEdt5.prm and to my suprise, HollywoodFX showd up in Premiere Pro. I've tested it with 3 or 4 different transitions and all seems to work well under Premiere Pro. Did this in my premiere 6.5 and it works great, coexists with my hollywood silver, pro 4.6 and all the other transitions i carried over with my dv500 michael Mi.@adobeforums.com 3/12/2003, 19:30 น. Low and behold it works.

May not be supported but I figure the plugin model stayed the same, just no official support for Premiere 6.5 and no plugin file rename and transfer to Premiere's plugin directory. Update: Works fine using the method I described earlier. I rendered a 20 minute dv video with 12 HW rendered GL transition (as complex as I could find) and the final MPEG2 looked fine. Seems that the plugin model for Edition is the same as Premiere 6.5. Update 2: To get HFX 5 in to work as a filter you must do the same for the Fl-HfxEdt5.vfx file from the Edition Filters folder.

Copy Fl-HfxEdt5.vfx to Adobe plugins and change extension to.prm to get filter capability. Create a Pinnacle folder in plugins and have these files in there like the 4.6 did. Easier to manage and find. Forgot about this one Michael Mi.@adobeforums.com 3/12/2003, 19:39 น.
