Make a copy of the file currently on your computer and place it in another directory. This gives you a backup file in case something goes wrong. On the Mac, drag the downloaded file into /Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The SIms 3/Game/Bin/.' It will replace the current file. On the PC, copy the file into the GameBin directory listed in Step 2. It will replace the current file.
