This game has never had a complete fan translation, the one you're talking about only covered the common route I believe. And anyway I think the price is pretty standard for a VN of this length. Script size tends to be a pretty big factor in VN prices, at least as far as translations go. If they spent 3 years translating this they have to recoup that somehow.

Let me swallow (2012). (Also the nudity tag isn't exactly correct if there's a separate edition not sold on Steam for the nudity.) Fan English patch was release in 2013-03-18 for D.C III (not R version and partial translation patch only), game release is 2013-05-24 for just D.C III R version, this is official complete translation release, nothing in life come cheap man, if you really want good price just wait for a sale, VN has always been premium price nothing new tbh. Source for dates.
Originally posted by:Yes, DC3R will be $39.95 on Steam, with a 10% launch discount. So if you're interested in [www.mangagamer.com], and eligible to purchase it, you get a slightly better deal by ordering it from They had a more generous release discount than the 10% we predicted. They came up with 15% launch discount but since no one has come up or even announced to be working on patching it for additional content only available in the mangagamer release there'd be people waiting for the a patch or a bigger discount to make their purchase. I'll just point out that Disgaea 2 releases in a couple days.
It's the same age, had previously completely untranslated material & updated textures added to it, multi-resolution support added, keyboard & mouse support added and had to be re-compiled. And it's only $20 USD. As for the fan patch of this only being the common route. But what makes you think they didn't have a complete translation to work from while hacking the game? I've no doubt that MangaGamer only did a bit of 'localization' to the translation which they probably bought. (I mean sure it's probably a bit of money to buy it but not nearly as much as paying for a translator for the entire game.) NIS, who has never been a PC supporter, so far is kicking MangaGamer's butt when it comes to PC support. Originally posted by:I'll just point out that Disgaea 2 releases in a couple days.
