And then phone tftuned for a rockshox 32mm seal kit and some SVI Rock oil 5weight and 15 weight.Cost around £25 for parts and around 45 mins of your time.I service my seals once a year and change the Oil in my lowers every six months or so. You can of course get them serviced by TFtuned,and they will Push Recons Ive phoned up and asked.The guy told me a Recon is just a budget Reba without the negative air chamber adjust,the Solo air spring does this for you. Standard degreaser is fine,you can buy a container of concentrate stuff from halfords for about £6 mixed with water makes around 40ltrs.Remove your foam washers before you do this (they just pull out) and your dust wipers if you like (if your replacing them),the degreaser can contaminate the foam seals and they wont hold oil very well.

If your doing a full strip down and replacing the seals,I find that very hot water works really well once the wiper seals and foam washers are out you are left with just the lowers.Running hot water down the insides flushes out the old oil/grease and because its very hot will dry almost instantly.Use a bottle brush while using the hot water and you will get them very clean. If Im just changing the oil the the lowers,I usually just use some new oil to flush the old stuff out before topping up,and just wipe down the fork stanchions with a dry cloth.Its only there to lube the seals etc.
