Once you get it connected it drops the line only occasionally. The pickup distance is only a couple hundred feet at best. One which I had only used for a limited amount of time on a spare computer finally quit working after about eighteen months.
I replaced it with an Edimax PCI adapter and was astonished to see it pickup five routers as I never saw any other then mine router on the LinkSys adapter Cons: Everything about this adapter was a con for me. Their 'Easyconnect' doesn't work, either on a hardware or software level. When you finally call customer support, they talk you through setting up a network that uses Microsoft's network software. Give me a break. Then, when you finally get it to work, there is no way to monitor anything. Finally, your network adapter stops working, or the software gets a 'glitch'. They tell you, when you get a 'glitch' you can just call back and they'll help you set it up again.
