I am new to sysbase.I am try to create dsn name for sysbase.While connecting sysbase i gave sa as user name and administrator as password.Its connecting and show master db and some other db.After that i am trying to create. Sybase odbc driver client unable to establish a connection. After few seconds it show sybase odbc driver client. Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server: Client unable to establish connection. I know that the database server is found: when I change the port to a not used port I get a login timeout.

Lance, Carson and Larry - Based upon a previous thread I posted regarding ASA and ASE environments for our website DB and the issues we were having, I took your advice and did the following: 1. Generated our website DB in an ASE 11.9.2 environment instead of ASA 6.0.2 2. Established an Open Client connection profile to the web DB instead of using ODBC. Created an Open Client connection from the website to the ASE 11.9.2 primary database. Here's is what is happening now!:( - Please see the attachment! What do I need to change on my 'puter when the icon in the toolbar shows and tells me I am connected and the error message tells me I am not and I can not go to web pages, get or send emails. I have to close down and restart to get connected again. This only happens if I am on line and leave the 'puter for an hour or so. As long as I am using it I don't have a problem. This just started about a month ago.
