I don’t want to read an email, and then forget to get back to the person/task by the time I’m in the office. Today I’m going to show you how to automate this process so you’ll never again neglect an email.

• Name your Zap on the left side of the screen – I went with the extremely creative “Starred Gmail – Yalla Priority” • On the right/main section of the screen, choose Gmail as your Zap trigger. You may need to search for it before it’s available. • Now you’ll select the type of trigger. We’re going to scroll down and select “New Starred Email,” then Save and Continue. • Connect your Gmail account to Zapier, choosing “yes” on the ensuing popup asking you for access permission.
• Zapier will ask you to make sure you’ve got at least one email recently starred so you can test your Zap. Star a random email in your inbox if you don’t already have one, and click through so Zapier finds the email.
• Once you’ve tested and seen that Zapier found the correct test starred email, click continue. • Now it’s time to set up your Zap’s action – what happens when you trigger it with a starred message in your Gmail inbox. Search for the Yalla app and choose the “create priority” action. Click Save and Continue. • You’ll now need to connect your Yalla account to Zapier. Click “Connect a New Account” to get a popup explaining the steps to take.
